Moses & Burning Bush..

If we go into Old Testament, When Moses went up the Mount; he is supposed to have seen God in the form of `burning bush’ – Light. He sees nothing but a light shining. The story is that Moses did not see the bare Truth. The brightness would have blinded him. So it was seen from behind the tree which looked like a `burning bush.’ Moses asked this Light that was burning behind the tree, `Who are you?’ because at that time, he probably thought that God was somebody sitting in heaven with a crown on his head. The answer he got in the Hebrew language was – ahiyae ashar ahiyae – which means ` I am That I am!’ There is no other way that it can be described - `I am That I am!’
That’s why devotee says, ` please gather up your radiant light so that I may see your lovely form.’ To understand and have a relationship with an attributeless nothingness is next to impossible for most people. This why the system of worship through images has been established. From the form, one can go to formless.
